Press: International Manga Award
On August 1, 2007, in the Japanese Embassy located in Jakarta, Indonesia, Mr. Shin Ebihara, Japan’s Ambassador for Indonesia, presented an award to SYS, the maqinin/comic artist of Sang Sayur, as one of the 19 finalists of International Manga Award. The international-level contest was initiated this past July by Japan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, lead by Mr. Aso Tarou at the time. There were a total of 146 manga/comic entries from 26 countries all over the globe.
