Seven Blue Art Land Studio (SBALS) is a comic & illustration studio consisting of seven individuals based in Jakarta, Indonesia. Established in the early 2006, with their various backgrounds and their enduring passion for comic art especially manga, SBALS aims to encourage the growth of local comic and to make a mark in comic & creative industries, both locally and internationally.Best known for publishing SPLASH, a local comic anthology of manga-influenced works, SBALS has also worked and collaborated with various media & industries, including M-KOMIK, a joint project with InTouch & Telkomsel, Indonesia’s national cellular provider.Actively involved in the newly-revived comic & entertainment scenes, SBALS has regularly held and collaborated in various workshops, exhibitions and discussions together with miscellaneous comic authors and communities. Our latest project includes the opening of Imaqination Maqita School in Central Jakarta.
