   No, we are an independent comic & illustration studio, publisher and comic school with no business affiliation whatsoever with Machiko Manga School.

   Maqita (pronounced ma-qee-ta) is an abbreviation of Manga Kita (”Our Manga” in Indonesian), a term used to address manga-influenced works by Indonesian comic artists. Maqinin on the other hand, is how we address the creators of Maqita.
